Last day on Jogjakarta.

On the last day at Jogjakarta we just prepared for going back home and buying some gifts for our family and friend at Jakarta. We bought some original snack from Jogjakarta it called Bakpia.
Bakpia is food made from a mixture of green beans with sugar wrapped in a flour and baked. In some areas in Indonesia, the food seemed legit if eaten is known as the pia or pia cake. Contents bakpia can adjust to the desires of consumers of chocolate, cheese, kumbu green, and black kumbu. Bakpia well-known one of them came from the area Pathok (Pathuk), Yogyakarta.
Bakpia term itself is derived from the Hokkien dialect (simplified: 肉饼), which literally means the bread contains meat.

After finish packaging  our bags and stuff and taking a dinner,  we have to wait our train on the train station. While waiting for the train we're taking a picture for the last time. :)
A time to remember, full of laugh and adventure. Guys!! Ready for a next trip?!!

Third day !! :)

WE LOVE BEACH!!

The third day is the most unforgettable day!! First we rent a car to go to some beaches. To get there we took a time for 1 and half hour from Jogjakarta. The beach location is on Capital Gunung Kidul Regency, Wonosari, South-east Jogja City. This beach is really wonderful, clean, virgin and beautiful.

First beach we visited is Slili Beach

The second is Sundak still same with Slili beach, WONDERFUL!!
And then Kukup Beach.

And the last is Sadranan Beach.

The wonderful time that i had with my friend and the most beautiful beach. The beaches took my heart and really wanna go back there. :)

Second Day!!

On my second day we're going to Taman Sari. Taman Sari Yogyakarta or Yogyakarta Palace is a former site park or garden palace (royal garden). This can be compared with the Bogor Botanical Gardens Bogor Palace gardens. This garden was built in the time of Sultan Hamengkubuwono I (HB I) 1758-1765/9 year. Initially, the park is getting the title "The Fragrant Garden" has an area of more than 10 acres with about 57 buildings in the form of buildings, swimming baths, a suspension bridge, canal water, and artificial lakes and artificial islands and underwater tunnel. Garden used effectively between 1765-1812 was originally stretched from the southwest to the southeast of the complex Kedhaton Magangan complex. But today, the remnants of the Taman Sari, which can be seen only in the southwest Kedhaton just complex.
That said, Taman Sari was built in the former palace of the old, Garjitawati Guesthouse, which was founded by susuhunan Pakubuwono II as a resting place that will train a horse go to Imogiri. As the leadership development projects Tumenggung ditunjuklah Taman Sari Mangundipuro. The entire development cost borne by Regent Madison, Tumenggung Prawirosentiko, besrta all people. Therefore exempt from Madiun district tax levies. In the midst of construction project management was taken over by Prince Notokusumo, after Mangundipuro resigned. Although officially a royal garden, but the existing buildings bebrapa indicate Taman Sari served as the last bastion if the palace was attacked by the enemy. It is said that one of the architects of this royal garden was a Portuguese who is better known by Tegis Demat.

Taman Sari Compex at least can be divided into 4 parts. The first part is an artificial lake located to the west. The next section is a building located in the artificial lake south including Bannerman Member Baths. The third part is Pasarean Ledok Garjitawati Sari and pool located in the southern part of the second. The last section is the eastern part of the first and second sections and extends eastward to the southeast Magangan complex.

The ticket entry is only IDR 3000.

To go to Taman Sari we have to took a Becak ( Traditional Transportation like Tuc tuc in Thailand).

Becak (Pedicab) (from the Hokkien:  be chia "carriage") is a three-wheeled mode of transportation commonly found in Indonesia and also in parts of Asia. Normal capacity rickshaws are the only two passengers and a driver.
In Indonesia there are two types of rickshaws are commonly used:

* Pedicab with the driver in the back. These types usually have in Java.

* Pedicab with the driver on the side. These types are usually found in Sumatra.

On the way to see all part of Taman Sari, the Guider guide us to see how to made a Batik. And they can teach us how to made it.

Batik is one way of making fabrics. Besides batik can refer to two things. The first is the technique of coloring cloth using the night to prevent the coloring part of the fabric. In the international literature, this technique is known as a wax-resist dyeing. The second notion is a cloth or clothing made with these techniques, including the use of certain motifs that have specificity. Batik Indonesia, as the overall engineering, technology, and development and cultural motives related, defined by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage for Humanity Oral and Nonbendawi (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity) since October 2, 2009.

After Taman Sari tour we back to Malioboro road to spend the night. :)

First Day at Jogjakarta..

On the first day we decided to go to Prambanan Temple.

Prambanan is the ninth century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia, dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva). The temple compound located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta city on the boundary between Yogyakarta and Central Java province.[1]The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, currently is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterized by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples.

To get there you can using Trans Jogja, you only pay IDR 3000. When you arrive you can walk to the Prambanan Temple locket. The ticket is only IDR 15.000/person and if you want to see Ratu Boko Temple at the mountain, the ticket is IDR 30.000/person. They provide a car to take you to the mountain. (My opinion for this temple is AWESOME!!)

Ratu Boko is an archaeological site known to modern Javanese as Kraton Ratu Boko or Ratu Boko's Palace. Ratu Boko is located on a plateau, about three kilometres south of Lara Jonggrang Prambanan temple complex in Yogyakarta Indonesia. The original name of this site is still unclear, however the local inhabitants named this site after King Boko, the legendary king mentioned in Loro Jonggrang folklore.
The site covers 16 hectares in two hamlets (Dawung and Sambireja) of the village of Bokoharjo and Prambanan. In striking contrast to other Classic-period sites in Central Java and Yogyakarta, which are remains of temples, Ratu Boko displays attributes of an occupation or settlement site, although its precise functions is unknown.[1] Probably the site was a palace complex which belongs to the kings of Sailendra or Mataram Kingdom that also build temples scattered across Prambanan valley. The argument was based on the fact that this complex was not a temple nor building with religious nature, but a fortified palace instead which evidence in the remnant of fortified walls and the dry moat as defensive structures.[2] The remains of settlements also founds in Ratu Boko vicinity. This site is located 196 m above the sea level, on the highest point in the site, there is a small pavilion from which one will be able to see a panoramic view of Prambanan temple with Mount Merapi as the background.

When we arrived there we find a traditional food form Jogjakarta it's called Gudeg. Gudeg which is made from young Nangka (jack fruit) boiled for several hours with palm sugar, and coconut milk. Additional spices include garlic, shallot, candlenut, coriander seed, galangal, bay leaves, and teak leaves, the latter giving a brown color to the dish. It is also called Green Jack Fruit Sweet Stew. Gudeg is served with white rice, chicken, hard-boiled egg, tofu and/or tempeh, and a stew made of crispy beef skins (sambal goreng krecek).

This food is very delicious and very cheap one portion Gudeg with rice and chicken is IDR 10.000.
