Vietnam Trip First day

its been a long time i haven't update my blog.
i was too busy to writing my final report and learning for my exam.
but last time i had a vacation to Vietnam. Vietnam had a good place to visit too. when i was in Vietnam, i was stay on Ho Chi Minh city for 2 night, Hanoi for 2 night, Ha long bay for 1 night and back to Ho Chi Minh city for 2 night before going back to Jakarta.

at Ho Chi Minh city i stay on Bui Vien Street, Bui Vien Street is a street for a backpacker, where you can find a cheap motel or hotel and a cheap restaurant with good food.

at Ho Chi Minh city you can visit Saigon Notre Dame Basilica
Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica (Vietnamese: Vương cung thánh đường Đức Bà Sài Gòn or Nhà thờ Đức Bà Sài Gòn) is a cathedral located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by French colonists, the cathedral was constructed between 1863 and 1880. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of 58 meters (190 feet).

and across the Notre Dame you can see Saigon Central Post Office, inside the Post Office you can see a huge building with a painted map on the wall, telephone booth and clock with world time.

After seeing a Saigon Notre Dame Basilica and Saigon Central Post Office, we went to Cho Ben Thanh Market. This large market is close to the backpacker area of Pham Ngu Lao. The market was formally established by the French colonial powers after taking over the Gia Dinh citadel in 1859. This market was destroyed by fire in 1870 and rebuilt to become Saigon's largest market. In 1912 the market was moved to a new building and called the New Ben Thanh Market to distinguish over its predecessor.

Food, T-shirts, cloth and material, souvenirs, kitchenware, spices, fruit, flowers, watches, jewellery - are just some of the things on offer here where you'll find everything you need under one roof. The quality of goods varies, and you must bargain - expect the initial price to be inflated up to two or three times what it should be.

From Cho Ben Tanth Market we went to Saigon Saigon Bar, a rooftop bar on 20th floor of Caravelle Hotel. Great rooftop drinks and fantastic views of historic HCMC centre from this 20th floor bar and terrace, and one of the pluses is that because you're in it, this modern edifice isn't spoiling your view as it towers over the Opera House, Post Office, Rex Hotel and Notre Dame Cathedral. You can enjoy the view while drink a glass of cocktail, smoothie, wine, etc.
