JOGJAKARTA trip!!

The Nekad Travelers in actions!! :)

On this holiday, me and my friend goes to Jogjakarta.. We went there using a business train and we rent a room at Wisma Marta at Kota Gede, Rejowinangun Street. We arrived at 2:45 PM at station Tugu Jogjakarta.
Wisma Marta had a good room and the service is good too they provide breakfast and they had a pool.

After cleaning our self we went to Malioboro street using trans Jogja (a shelter bus same like trans Jakarta) to find something to eat for dinner.

When we arrived there we find a traditional food form Jogjakarta it's called Gudeg. Gudeg which is made from young Nangka (jack fruit) boiled for several hours with palm sugar, and coconut milk. Additional spices include garlic, shallot, candlenut, coriander seed, galangal, bay leaves, and teak leaves, the latter giving a brown color to the dish. It is also called Green Jack Fruit Sweet Stew. Gudeg is served with white rice, chicken, hard-boiled egg, tofu and/or tempeh, and a stew made of crispy beef skins (sambal goreng krecek).

This food is very delicious and very cheap one portion Gudeg with rice and chicken is IDR 10.000.
